Short term rental alerts

Know when your city changes the short term rental rules.

Name the city or county and what you’re waiting on, like a permit cap, a ban or a new license. We read council and planning agendas and search the web, and send one email with the quote and link when the ordinance is introduced, scheduled or passed. Pay once. Nothing renews.

HostReady charges $8.25 to $9.80 per property per month to watch rule changes. A watch here is $7.99 for a year, paid once.

Questions

How soon will I hear?

Not in real time. A city’s agendas are checked about once a day, and a web search runs daily to weekly. Council agendas post days ahead, so you usually hear before the vote.

Do you watch the city code itself?

We watch the agendas, the city’s own pages and the news. Code sites like Municode are built in JavaScript and we can’t read them, so a change shows up when the council or the press records it.

Does it cover my county or state?

Name the county or state and what you’re waiting on. County boards and legislatures are watched through their agendas, pages and the news, and setup tells you what it can see before you pay.

What counts as a match?

The brief you approve says so, for example an adoption, not a draft. A workshop or a hearing notice doesn’t count unless you asked for it.

What happens after the first email?

We keep watching. The next step, like the second reading or the date it takes effect, gets its own email, at most one a day and up to 10, until your term ends. Nothing renews by itself.
